Gum Restoration Remedy

A lot of talk lately has been about absolutely not what you're thinking, not the economy, that thankfully is very much on the uprise. I'm talking about recession of the gums (gingiva) in the mouth. Gum recession in other words is the gums pulling downwards from where they'd normally be connected to the tooth structure.

Sometimes recession can be caused by things that can be fixed, for instance in the case if a person was using a hard bristled toothbrush with poor brushing technique. In many cases though it can be a combination of different factors.

A good smile is a thing that most folks take for granted until they begin to have oral health issues. Lots of people suffer on a daily basis  many different dental health problems that deeply effect their ability to perform even the simplest jobs, like eating and drinking. Periodontal disease can be treated, however it requires initiative and the willingness to deal with the spread of oral disease on time.

What Is Gingivitis?

Gingivitis is actually an inflammation of the gums around your teeth and the gumline. Gum disease starts with a simple build-up of plaque, which is the mixture bacteria, the waste from harmful bacteria, food debris and mucus. Does your gum grow back?:  If not cleaned up and removed, plaque begins to harden into tartar. The longer tartar and plaque are left on the teeth around the gum line, the more damage is done to your tooth enamel. Inflammation begins to occur, which is the rise of gingivitis.

Can Receding Gums Grow Back?

If left untreated, gingivitis can progress into gum disease (periodontal disease). Good dental hygiene including flossing and brushing with a soft bristles toothbrush for receding gums can help remove plaque while protecting the enamel on your teeth. Additionally, you can help keep your teeth and avoid gingivitis from developing by modifying your diet and focusing on proper nutrition.

Many folks hate visiting the dentist for routine checkups, so one can imagine the fear they have when informed that they need anything more than a regular procedure. The words "you need a gum grafting surgery" strikes even more fear in the hearts of men everywhere.

Is Surgical Treatment The Best Option To Restore Gums?

Gum grafting procedures are required for a number of reasons, but they all relate to stopping further gum recession. Improper dental hygiene, genetics and the occasional misplaced popcorn kernel can all cause gums to shift and recede. Receding gums needs to be stopped immediately otherwise people can risk losing teeth.

The risk of loss of tooth is why gum recession must be stopped in its tracks. It is not rare for a dental professional or orthodontist to refer a patient to a gum specialist immediately the moment gum recession is noticed.

The Painful Option

If there wasn't any betterment, I was to see a periodontist who was likely to recommend some gum surgery to fix the problem.I went home with the feeling that this can be a very expensive and potentially painful process and started trying to find an alternative.

Cure for receding gums usually means many expensive visits to your dentist plus some potentially painful surgical procedures to try and correct the condition.

Natural Home Remedies For Receding Gums That Help Them Re-Grow Fast

Oil pulling is probably the best conventional method that you can use to bring back your gum and have it growing back in no time. Gum regeneration home remedy: Sesame oil is famous for its detoxification and anti-inflammatory properties which are especially useful in preventing further gum erosion.

You should consider flossing for a few minutes with the oil and gradually increase this time as you adapt to it.

Oil Pulling

In a 2009 study, the ayurvedic practice of oil pulling showed a decrease of plaque in individuals with gingivitis.

To try oil pulling, swish a tbsp of a high-quality coconut oil around your mouth for about 20 minutes. This swishing “pulls” the oil between your teeth. Then spit the oil out, wash your mouth with warm tap or saline water, and brush your teeth.

The conventional oil to use for this method is sesame oil. But 2012 research on cavities from Athlone Institute of Technology shows that coconut oil may stop the Streptococcus mutans bacteria from damaging tooth enamel.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Rinsing with a solution of  hydrogen peroxide may help cure swollen, red or sore gums. To use hydrogen peroxide as a natural remedy for receding gums:

  • Mix 1/4 Cup Of 3 Percent Hydrogen Peroxide With 1/4 Cup Of Water.

  • Spit The Rinse Out - Don’t Swallow It.
  • Try This Two To Three Times A Week.

 Receding Gums Grow Back Naturally

Receded gums could be began or worsned by poorly fitted dentures or crowns. These are the types of gum problem that need to be referred back to your dentist for correction.

I prefer Extra Virgin Olive Oil --- I haven't tried others yet, but some folks have used Coconut and Sesame Oils with great success. Every morning when I first get up, and on an empty stomach, I take a tablespoon of EVOO, put it in my mouth and strongly swish --- "pulling" it around and through my teeth over and over for 10-15 minutes. Now this is the essential part: you do not like to gargle it, and you must do it a minimum of the 15 minutes until the oil becomes oxygenated, white, and foamy. Don't Swallow it as it has toxins and bacteria which have been "pulled" from your teeth and oral mucosa --- Spit It Out and run hot water to keep the oil from potentially clogging your sink drain. I have been doing this exact process everyday AM and PM (just before bed) for 2 weeks now and I've noticed some unbelievable improvements.
